Character Description : Shoukei ( Princess Sonsho ) 
 
 Shoukei was the former Princess of HO, but after her father and mother was killed in the rebellion, Gekki, the leader of this rebellion banished her and removed her immortality. She was full of hatred at the point of time but she did not know that Gekki was pain struck by what he did because he respected her father and also loved her like his child.. When wind about her almost getting beaten to death by the villagers, he sent his guards immediately to save her. And fearing something like this would happen again, she requested the Queen of Kyou take her in as a servant. Kyou-ou accepted and made her one of her servants. However, Shoukei was filled with anger and still thought what her father did was correct and diverted her anger at Yoko because they are the same age but then she was in rags and she thought Yoko was having a wonderful time in her palace. Because of this, she stole some of Kyou-ou's things and fled. What she did wrong was to still show of here possessions when she is on the run... But here was where she met Rakushuu. Sadly when she was found out, she tried to put the blame on Rakashuu and got both of them in prison. Rakushuu was not afraid since he had the travel pass issued by the Kirin of EN but Shoukei was terrified because in her country, any crime was punishable by death! When Rakushuu told her that it was otherwise, she was confused by such laws. After being set free, she stuck with Rakushuu because she did not have anywhere to go and it was during her stay with Rakushuu, her hatred was turned into sympathy and her rage was transformed into determination. Instead of wanting to get back at Yoko, she now thinks that KEI is in this state because the new queen was blinded like her when she was princess and wants to meet Yoko to tell her that. And she joined the rebellion in KEI where she was later joined by Suzu. Thanks to Rakushuu, when Shoukei met Suzu, she told her what was actually the truth and that Yoko is not able to help because she was blinded by the evil officials. She in turn transformed Suzu's vengeance on Kei-ou into the will to make the queen see the mistakes she was making on the country and joins the rebellion as well. Later when she finds out that the Queen of KEI was actually among the rebellion and that she will become a good queen, Shoukei agreed to join the ranks in KEI to serve Yoko and transform KEI into a rich and wealthy state. But before she did that, Shoukei realized all her sins and that her ignorance has caused the lives of many, she returned to 3 people who she owed a great debt to. First to Rakushuu to thank him for his patience in making realize her mistakes, second she wrote a letter to Gekki to say how sorry she was and that she is now too shame to even see him and that she hopes he will help her father govern HO until the next king arrives and also to Kyou-ou to get her punishment for her mistakes. Kyou-ou was of course angry about it, but seeing 2 nations pleading for Shoukei and that she has already learned her lesson, she merely banished Shoukei from her lands and did not pursue the matter any further. |
