Character Description : Suzu ( Honma ) 
 
 Suzu came from a poor family in Japan around the late 1800s and early 1900s. One day she was sold off to be a maid to a rich family, but was accidentally send to the Twelve Kingdoms when she fell into a river on her way to her purchaser. Saved by fishermen, she wondered around the place until she found a group of performers and joined them. She did not have any skills and was one day asked to perform to Riyo a powerful Immortal in the area and she only knew how to sing a Japanese Song. Riyo was insulted and left. As Immortals have no language barriers, Suzu understood what Riyo was saying and begged her to take her in. Riyo named her Honma and then gave her immortality, but this kindness was but a short-lived. For 100 years, Suzu was tortured by Riyo and she had to perform outrageous demands and one day she was fed up and tried to seek help from Taiki when she was on an errand. She was however thrown out and Riyo punished her. Her punishment was to get a special kind of plant in the high mountain cliffs for Riyo's breakfast, but Riyo sent her ride beast along to either kill her or scare her. Suzu somehow made her way to the Sai-ou's palace and was saved by Sairin. Sai-ou saw Suzu and immediately knew that she had to grow up and see the world, if not she will never mature. Suzu came to know that the Kei-ou was also from Japan and set off to find her in hope that she would find pity and that Kei-ou will help her. Hope became desperation, Desperation became hatred. This happened when one of her friends were killed in a Kei State and she blamed Kei-ou for not governing them properly and wanted to kill her. This changed when she met Shoukei and realised that her ways to thinking was wrong and thus she continued to help the rebellion army. She later became one of Kei-ou's officials. |
